Genetic material found on the dagger, as well as on a mysterious liquid on Councilor Lycanis’ robes, was tested and cross-referenced with the Council’s database, but returned no matches. The forensic team conducted further testing against each faction’s individual databases, and found a match from the Empire - Crimson Wolves leader Montez Lycanis, at the time imprisoned in a cell on Eden Lycanis ("[[The Crimson Wolves]]").

House Lycanis also announced the removal of their involvement in the affair, and dismissed the Council’s ships. Plíšková was subsequently released from her confinement on station Ignis and reinstated as the Federation contract for the Explorers.
