The PlanetQuest Explorer Passport is a rewards system for members of the discord to earn points that will contribute to in-game benefits. To launch your Explorer Passport, go to planetquest.io and connect your digital wallet. This is necessary to mint your free NFT and will connect you to the rewards you earn while participating in various activities in the discord. The Explorer Passport will reward early and active participants prior to the game’s launch and will most likely end at some point before launch.
Quests & Rewards
Commendations
Ten passport points can be earned once per day by participating in the discord. Commendation points are distributed at the discretion of the Universal Council as well as the PlanetQuest moderators. The most common way to earn Commendations are by being helpful to others and contributing in the various channels. This can include directing new members to important channels, discussing or summarizing storylines, creating fan art or memes, or by becoming a Candidate Ambassador and contributing to Event Coordination, Community Translating, or Content Creation.
Commendations will be distributed by The Commendator Bot and will appear in the channel where you received them attached to the message that you sent. You can view the amount of Commendations you’ve received on your Explorer Passport under the “Commendations” heading.
Recruiting
Bringing your friends to PlanetQuest is a good way to earn additional rewards. Using the referral link provided on your Explorer Passport, you can invite your friends to participate in the discord. For each person who fully registers using your unique link and they will need to earn 3 commendations, you will receive 20 reward points. You can view the number of referrals you have on your Explorer Passport under the “No. of Recruits” heading.
Storyline
Decentralized storyline voting (LINK) is another great way to earn reward points. Every Wednesday, the Universal Council drops a new excerpt of PlanetQuest lore for the community to read and vote on. Multiple story arcs create a detailed cinematic multiverse that players directly impact with their vote. The story can be found in the discord “Story” channel and will subsequently be followed by an additional side story in each faction’s “[faction name]-story” channel. Members will have 12 hours to discuss before voting based on the overall story and their unique side-story and the decision of a majority of the factions will determine the action taken by the Universal Council. There will then be a follow up story released alongside the outcome of the voting, on Fridays, that will tell of the impact of the decision. When you complete voting, you will get a bot response that acknowledges your vote on the discord. You will receive 10 reward points each time you vote. You can view your overall points on your Explorer Passport under the “Points” heading.
Special Quests

From now on, all new social media quests and quest related announcements will be posted here. Feel free to follow if you want to keep up to date with the latest news on how to gain more commendation points, which will go towards unlocking additional perks (and possibly NFTs)!”

The Universal Council created additional ways to earn Explorer Passport rewards through occasional social media quests. These are temporary quests asking members to follow social media or interact with posts or Medium articles. These opportunities are temporary and it is recommended that you follow the “social-media-quests!” Discord Channel for their announcements. These will also be visible on your Explorer Passport under the “Quests” heading with a link to whatever they want you to interact with. Upon completion, your points will be visible under the “Points” heading.
Rewards
All of the referrals, commendations, storyline voting, and special quests add up to your overall rewards points visible under the “Points” heading on your Explorer Passport. The “Rewards” panel on the right side of the passport will indicate what perks you have unlocked so far and the remaining rewards will be slightly transparent. These additional perks will add up to Explorer Pack Credits, Explorer Packs, and Planet Deeds of varying rarity (Common, Rare, and Epic). The more active you are, the more rewards points you will accumulate and the more in-game benefits you receive at launch. The Explorer Passport Rewards will continue presumably until an announcement is made prior to game launch.

Faction Ranks
One of the first tasks given to each faction by the Universal Council was to select faction representatives and vote on possible Faction Rank names. Each faction has unique ranks that will be displayed on a player’s Explorer Passport. As players accumulate points, and presumably when the game launches and players gain experience in the game, their rank will increase according to their faction’s assigned ranking system. It is unknown what effects this ranking system will have on utility and gameplay at this time. Your current Faction Rank is visible on your Explorer Passport under the heading “Rank.” This is also where the highest rarity insignia that you hold will also eventually be visible. The Universal Council will share more information as the game develops.
